Dear Friends,

As most, or all, of you know by now, St. Francis has suffered a terrible loss with the tragic and untimely death of Father Trautner while exercising in Valley Forge Park on Tuesday afternoon. No words can express our sense of loss of this great priest.  No words of praise can adequately describe the tremendous impact that he had on so many lives.  For now we will mourn our loss as a parish and as individuals, and in the future we will gather in his memory to continue his work with a renewed enthusiasm guided by him once more.  God bless you and may our pastor watch over you and St. Francis.

Thanks to the Times Herald for publishing such a nice article about Father Trautner.

Do believe I'll never leave you,
                      Always I'll be in your heart . . .
Don't forget my soul is near you,
                                           And so we'll never be apart . . .

Please pray for Father Trautner
as you meditate on his life and
your relationship with him.

May the road rise up
to meet you,

May the winds always be
at your back,

May the sun shine warm
upon your face,

the rains fall softly
upon your fields,

And until we meet again,

May God hold you
in the palm of His hand.

Thank you Father, we love you . . .
